General Show Information and
Guidelines
Plaza Arts Center is accepting applications for Showcase artists.
Healdsburg has become a premier destination for tourists from near and
far, many of whom have an interest in our thriving arts community.
Showcase exhibits run for approximately four weeks, including four
weekends. Each artist is allocated 8 linear feet of display space for
wall-hung work. Appropriate floor and display space is available for 3-D
artists and fine craftspeople.
Gallery shows are open to all Northern California artists. We
are looking for original artwork in painting, sculpture,
ceramics, photography, fine crafts, wood, wall-hung or
sculptural fiber art, glass; all media welcome.Artwork may
be wall hung, freestanding or pedestal-mounted (pedestals not
provided). Etchings, serigraphs, stone lithographs, monoprints,
and woodcuts, all of which are hand printed one at a time, are
acceptable.
Entries may be submitted
either by slide, photograph or original artwork. Original work only: no laser
prints or giclees. See below for additional requirementsPlaza Arts retains the right to refuse any entry not
consistent with these requirements.
Once an artist is accepted into his or her first Showcase, future dates
may be reserved. There will be a Committee review of Showcase work
periodically.
The fee is $125 per four week Showcase, payable in advance. Plaza Arts
takes a commission of 25% of sales made in the gallery and on sales of
artwork/commissions made through customer contact.

evening phone numbers, email address and/or website (if available).
Enclose:

your work. Each should be identified with: name, title, media,
size, and retail price.

return of slides or photographs.

If finished work is being submitted for application, please call the
gallery for an appointment (707-431-1970). Mail your entry marked
"Showcase" to Plaza Arts Gallery, 130 Plaza Street, Healdsburg, CA
95448. There is no date set for review entrant's work. Materials may be
submitted at any time.
Maximum size--It is critical
that dimensions and weight are indicated for each entry. Work
must be able to fit into the allotted space. Wall-hung work may
not weigh over 75 lbs. Freestanding work has minimal size
limitations.CONDITION: Plaza Arts will refuse an entry that is
too fragile, poorly packaged, damaged or is unsafe to exhibit. Wet or unfinished work is not to be hung in the Gallery.
ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY: Artists are responsible for the legal and
ethical integrity of their artwork. Artwork may be rejected by
jurors if, in the juror's opinions, the work appears to be
derived from another's art.All reasonable care will be taken with the works, but insurance is the
responsibility of the artist. Unless sold by Plaza Arts, selected work must be on view for
the duration of the exhibit. Work must be picked up at the close of the show. After one
week there will be a storage charge of $5 per day. Work left for more than 30 days will be considered property
of Plaza Arts.HANGING: All wall-hung work must be securely wired for hanging. Accepted work must be labeled on the back/bottom with
artist's name, phone number, and title of piece.
